"Iconic" can not even begin to justify the historical significance of these Gibson guitars with only 1716 produced and shipped by Gibson that year,rare is an understatement on the historical significance of these Gibson Les Paul guitars..The grand daddy to the family tree that branches out to every Gibson Les Paul that has or will ever be made. A wonderful one owner early example of the vintage collectible 1952 goldtop Les Paul with the bound 22 fret rosewood 24 and 3/4 scale mahogany neck (no breaks or repairs what so ever),unbound peghead with the Gibson logo inlaid in pearl and Les Paul model silkscreen. She is complete with the original cream color covered P-90 pickups,caps,pots and selector switch as issued without the rhythm/lead ring.Untouched solder joints.Original frets,pick guard,knobs,back plates,hardware and pointers (thumb rippers).1 tuning key changed out for cosmetic reasons and original included,jack input does appear to have been replaced. The original brown Gibson "California girl " case with pink lining is included and all latches as well as the handle is intact and functioning.
